Women Supporting Women expands with new Core Groups

As I look back to the inception of WSW; I remember hoping that I would be able to reach people who wanted community; women who wanted real friendships. I love to encourage people; it’s something that brings me joy. It truly blesses my heart to have you here. I’m excited to share where we are headed. So much growth has been happening and it’s important that we keep the idea and feel of being connected.
So often in large settings it’s easy to feel lost or overwhelmed. I also don’t want to turn anyone away who is looking for what WSW provides & stands for. So in order to help you stay better connected; I’m introducing our 9 new Core Groups. I’m excited about this and am hoping this helps you find community with people in your stage of life.
How are these going to work?
Each group leader is responsible for having at least 1 event a month. If your group decides to get together more often; then great! I’m hoping this helps you form closer connections with people in your stage of life. We will still have our main events going on as well on both the FaceBook page (this will be less often here) and our community page, but you’ll be able to have smaller group get together. This is good for those of you who do better in smaller gatherings.
Where will you find these groups and how do I join?
Great question! Facebook has terrible algorithms that are constantly changing. I hear from so many of you that you didn’t even receive a notification that an event was posted. Or you received it so late that you didn’t have time to plan for it or sign up. I’ve noticed several other things about FB.
1. People are moving away from it left and right for a variety of reasons
2. Many of us get on just for 1 specific thing and then jump off
3. Some of us just get on and mindlessly scroll to kill time
4. The censorship is getting out of hand
5. Not to mention privacy/safety
So; in order to do all the things I am wanting to do with WSW the easiest way was to create a new community for you outside of Facebook that is easily accessed through our website.
Did you know we had a website?
We have a portion dedicated just to our new community that is incredibly easy to navigate.
1. It flows well
2. Is extremely user friendly
3. It runs just like Facebook but without all the negatives
4. This will allow you to receive notification reminders for events via text and/or email so you don’t forget
5. Everything is private inside your community so you can have open dialogue in a safe environment
6. There is no ridiculous censorship (please abide by WSW standards)
7. You won’t miss anything bc of ever changing algorithms
8. It protects your privacy

Cost is $10/month and covers a variety of different things.
1. Pays membership
2. % of it goes to Stripe (payment service provider)
3. Helps to pay for a random members meal or event cost in the core groups
4. We will put away some to save for when we are at a point to create our own app
5. As y’all have seen over the course of the last few years; members have life happen and I feel an immense sense of responsibility to be able to provide for them in whatever way we can. This is a wonderful way for you to be a part of that!
